Da Nang develops mobile app to support travellers
December 20, 2016
A brand new app called Danang FantastiCity has been launched by Danang’s Department of Tourism and GOLA Software Ltd. on December 6. The app will become a useful guide-book for tourists when they arrive in Danang.

Danang FantastiCity Ver.1 is a free of charge app and is compatible with Android and iOS mobile platforms, accessing the internet through 3G or WiFi. According to Danang’s Department of Tourism, the app is a smart move of invention for tourists to make up their own trip just by choosing the budget, destinations and time arrival. Therefore, tourists can use the app offline without connecting 3G or WiFi. Once downloaded, the photos and reviews will be automatically saved into the app’s memory backup – a way to help tourists to keep and share the experience with friends or family back home.

The app is considered as a helpful offline travelling map of Danang with full information for tourists such as weather broadcast, qualified resorts/hotels/homestay, the city’s history, recent festivals/events, recommended restaurants or food vendors etc. The trial version will be available in two version English and Vietnamese, piloted during Dec 2016 to May 2017 in order to be updated and added more information from the official tourist database. It is expected to be officially launched and broadly used from 2018 after developing the content and other functions.
