1. Ho Chi Minh city
Ho Chi Minh city (also named as Saigon) is considered the second heart and the largest city of Vietnam, also one of big commercial centers of Indochina. This city charms both long-term and short-term stayers by its bustling life and easy opportunities for seeking jobs and stay places. For tourists who concern about history of Vietnam, Saigon should be good place to start off because this land took place the Vietnam War in 20th century. You can check out Ho Chi Minh museum and Independence Palace during your city tour in Saigon. Besides, Cu Chi Tunnel is also an impressive spot that makes you curious how guerrillas are constructed and stayed daily in this underground network. Some other places are architectural buildings such as Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, Bitexco Financial Tower while some are natural sites such as Thao Cam Vien (Saigon zoo and botanical gardens). However, it seems to be endless to know all the things about Saigon from street stalls to motorbike taxis etc.
2. Da Lat city
Da Lat is named “The second Paris in Vietnam” because it has almost the same weather and scenery like in Paris. You can experience all characteristics of four seasons just in one day in Da Lat, a little nippy in the mornings, warm till noon, cool in the afternoons and cold in the evenings. Contrary to Saigon, life in Da Lat seems more tranquil, more natural, slower and easier, which is why lots of foreigners choose to live here for long term. Some suggestions for you to visit in this small city includes Xuan Huong Lake in the city center, Love Valley, Two Graves Hill, Than Tho Lake etc. Wherever you go in Dalat, you can easily see beautiful flowers because flowers are the most specialty in this romance city. Cuisine in Da Lat is influenced mostly by cuisine in Hue and Quang Ngai. One of daily activities of the residents is to hang around at night enjoying fresh air, eating some food in street stalls or buying some sweaters. It will be such a pity if you travel to Vietnam but do not pay a visit to Dalat.
3. Nha Trang city
Nha Trang is one of special beach town in southern Vietnam. Its main sources of tourist attraction are warm beaches, tasty seafood and nice entertainment services. Tourists can travel to Nha Trang during the entire year, but mostly in summer, because it is much better to wallow in the blue ocean when the weather gets hot. Nha Trang is also famous for its beautiful islands and Vinpearl Land is on top of concern. This amusement complex includes cable car ride to see spectacular views over the ocean, variety of park rides, impressive waterpark, underwater world, cultural cuisine with reasonable cost. Aside from Vinpearl Land, you can try diving in Hon Mun island. The water there is so blue and clean with plentiful underwater world. In term of architectural site, Ponagar Ancient building of Champa people should be a nice choice.
4. Phu Quoc island
Situated far from the mainland, Phu Quoc is for those who seek an idyllic escape with unique experience. More than half of the island is part of Phu Quoc National Park, which features mountains, dense tropical jungle, hiking trails and wildlife. Lifestyle here seems easy and simple like the nature, but the living condition is not of low-quality. Besides the beautiful landscape, Phu Quoc also offers many sport activities to tourists: snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, jet-skiing, wind sailing, hiking etc. For majestic scenery, Ganh Dau Cape will please you most. The following is Da Ngon Stream with seven cascades. For culture exploration, black pepper garden in the north side of Phu Quoc is a good choice because you can meet and talk with friendly local people, learn something about growing pepper and buy some pepper if you want. But if you want to dig deep into daily life of local people, Ham Ninh fishing village seems to be ideal place. Around Phu Quoc island, there are lots of other pretty islets for you to travel.
5. Ca Mau cape
Ca Mau is the south side tail of either Vietnam or Mekong Delta. This province has a special mangrove ecosystem and plentiful wildlife, which is a wonderful gift of Mother Nature. Like most of provinces in Mekong Delta, Ca Mau is a picture of traditional rice farming villages with naïve friendly people. You will get lost in local stories especially about crocodiles trapping, or will feel thrilled when exploring the dangerous dense forests etc. There are so many things to do in here.
